My weigh-ins aren't syncing between my devices.

Accepted Answer

Each device needs to be signed in to the same Apple Account, with iCloud on for Weight Loss Tracking Buddy (Settings, your name, iCloud). Changes can take a few minutes to arrive, and come through faster with the app open on both.

How do I manage or cancel WLTB Pro?

Accepted Answer

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. In the app, go to Settings and choose Manage Subscription, or open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Weight Loss Tracking Buddy.

Question 3

I've got a new iPhone. How do I get Pro back?

Accepted Answer

Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Weight Loss Tracking Buddy, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Your goal and logs come back from iCloud on their own.

Question 4

My smart scale's weigh-ins aren't showing.

Accepted Answer

Weight Loss Tracking Buddy reads them from Apple Health, with Pro. Check the weigh-in is in the Health app under Weight, then in the app go to Settings, Apple Health, and set Weigh-ins from Health to Fill the Gaps or Alongside Yours. Our guide to smart scales and Apple Health has the full steps.

Question 5

My widgets say they're locked, or aren't up to date.

Accepted Answer

Widgets are part of Pro. If you've just bought or restored Pro, open the app once so the widgets hear about it. They refresh whenever you log in the app, and again at midnight.

Question 6

My fast has gone from the Lock Screen.

Accepted Answer

iOS ends any Live Activity after eight hours. Your fast is still running: open the app and it puts the Live Activity back. You'll still get a notification when you reach your target.

Question 7

Food scanning says I've reached my limit.

Accepted Answer

Scans are limited to 30 a day across meals and labels, counted across your devices, and the count starts again at midnight UTC. You can still add a food by hand, or log one you've saved.

Question 8

I only want to track my weight.

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings, then Preferences, and turn off Calories. Food leaves the app on every device, and nothing you've logged is deleted. Turn it back on whenever you like.

Question 9

How do I delete my data?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings, then Data, and choose Delete All Data. It removes everything you've entered from every device signed in to your iCloud account. Export a CSV or make a backup first if you'd like a copy. See the privacy policy for what the app sends elsewhere.
